Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.
Armed Security Officer Requirements:
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED Required
Basic Computer skills
De-escalation skills
High level customer service
PSR evaluation required
Military, law enforcement or armed security experience preferred
1 Year HOA/Gatehouse experience
Valid Nevada Driver's License with clean driving record

Typical Job Duties:
Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force may be required.
Working directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.
Writing detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.
Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.
Monitors surveillance cameras. The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers
